  • How much does a Yard Notes greeting cost?
    Prices start at $85 for a one day rental. This includes delivery, installation and removal. Packages and Pricing can be found on our homepage. We do have offer discount pricing for schools not for profits. Please contact us to discuss signs for these organizations.
  • What is included in the price?
    All pricing includes your customized greeting such as (Happy 8th Birthday Zachary, Congrats Heather, Happy 25th Anniversary Jim and Dianne.) as well as stars, balloons, cake or cupcakes, presents, and other fun graphic signs based on age, interest, and celebration theme. All packages also allow you to select up to 4 graphics to personalize your sign (see our Colors & Graphics Choices page for options). We also provide the option to add 6 more graphic signs of your choice by selecting our Supersize Add-on while booking. Sales tax is also included in the price. Yard Notes will deliver, set up and remove your greeting approximately 24 hours after it was set up unless other arrangements have been made. Below is an example of a typical Birthday greeting package for $90.
  • When and how do I pay?
    Payment is required to reserve your Yard Notes greeting. Payments can be made securely via credit card, debit card (processed via Square), or via PayPal when you reserve your sign. Upon booking, you will receive a booking confirmation from Yard Notes as well as a separate receipt from either Square or PayPal depending upon which one you chose.
  • Where do you deliver?
    Our service area includes Frisco, Prosper, Plano, and Little Elm Texas. Specific zip codes within our service area include: 75033, 75034, 75035, 75036, 75024, 75025, 75068. Unfortunately, we do not deliver to zip codes not listed. All delivery is free of charge. ​
  • When will my Yard Notes greeting be delivered?  It says 10:00 AM when I am trying to book my greeting.
    Our scheduling system defaults all booking times to 10:00 AM; however, greetings are set up after dark the evening BEFORE the event (for example, we will set up the evening of the 5th for a birthday on the 6th). Our installation times are typically between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm. If you need a specific set up time, please note that on your order form and we will do our best to meet that request, based on availability.
  • What is your refund / cancellation policy?
    Cancellation requests made at least 48 hours prior to set up will get a full refund. We will also provide a full refund for any sign that cannot be set up due to inclement weather. Inclement weather includes lightning, thunderstorms, heavy rain, high winds or other Acts of God that would put us or our Signs in harm's way. We are not able to provide refunds to customers who ask to have the sign removed once the delivery is made, or in an instance where delivery is attempted but cannot be made due to incorrect address, incorrect or missing gate code, refusal by homeowner, or in any situation where the Yard Notes greeting could not be set up due to a perceived danger, be that from an animal or person. Please carefully review our Policy before booking your Yard Notes greeting.
  • When will my greeting be picked up?
    Signs are typically picked up by mid-day the day after your event. Our pick up times typically begin after dark the night of your event (e.g, between 7 pm and 11 pm and during busy times may extend to the middle of the day after your event day). If you have purchased additional days, then the pick up window will be extended by the number of days purchased. If you have a pick up time request for earlier or later we can try to accommodate based on scheduling.
  • Do I get to choose my colors and graphics?
    We have a large variety of letter colors and graphics to choose from! We encourage you to request the colors and graphics that you like. All requests are subject to availability. If your color choices are not available, we will reach out to you to discuss options. If you have specific graphics you would like that you do not see in our inventory, please reach out to discuss. With enough lead time we can special order specific graphics for your celebration. There will not be an extra charge as long as it is something we feel we can use in the future.
  • Do I get to keep my Yard Note greeting?
    Unfortunately, no as the greetings are for rental use only. The signs are the property of Yard Notes and instrumental to our rental business. Please do not move, remove or store the signs to keep them from being damaged.
  • Can I change the location of my greeting or remove it myself once it has been set up in the yard?
    Please do not move or remove the signs as damage may occur. If you would like the greeting removed prior to the scheduled pick up time, please call us at 972-214-4374 and we will make arrangements for pick as soon as possible.
  • What if it rains?
    We deliver rain or shine. Rain is NO problem at all. Our signs are made of high-quality waterproof materials. We do watch out though for strong winds as they may damage the signs or make the overall greeting display less pleasing. We will contact you if we believe strong winds may affect your greeting.
  • How much yard space is necessary for a typical greeting such as a Happy Birthday greeting?
    A “Happy 5th Birthday Zachary” sign using individual letters in two rows, which is most of what you see in the gallery, stretches about 18 feet across the yard. We also have also offer a "Mini" greeting, which is a great alternative for smaller yards! These can still be personalized with a name, age, and graphics. If you are concerned about space please contact us to discuss options.
  • Can you install a greeting at a business or at an apartment or town home?
    Unfortunately, we do not install signs at businesses, apartment complexes or in town home communities due to liability concerns, authorization needed from the home owner, and limited space for the installation.
  • Can we mow the yard while the Yard Notes greeting is in the yard?
    We ask that you schedule mowing for before delivery or after removal. Mowers and trimmers can damage the signs.
  • How can I prepare for my Yard Notes greeting?
    Please water your lawn one day before installation for at least 20 minutes. If it has rained the day of your set up, then there is no need to water. A freshly mowed lawn looks best, but please cancel any lawn maintenance that would occur while your greeting is in the yard. Do not cut grass or edge around yard signs. Please also turn off any sprinkler systems during setup and removal times. It is also very helpful if you leave your porch light on as this will help us during your greeting set up. If the Yard Notes is a gift for someone else, please notify at least one adult at the location that we will be in their yard.
